Abacus Tanzania has exciting job opportunities for suitably qualified individuals to join our Company in the position of Pharmaceutical Technician at Dar es Salaam Region (2 Posts).
Purpose of the Position:
The incumbents will be responsible for dispensing medication and related supplies issued by physicians andqualified prescribers.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the Branch Manager and Pharmacist in managing issues arising from the branch e.g., Stocks verifications before destructions and monitoring of stored goods to comply with GDP requirements.
- Ensure timely recording of temperature after every 3 hours daily and report on any deviations.
- Ensure proper temperature ranges (2 – 8“ C) for all the cold chain products are
maintained and recorded.
- Good inventory management by ensuring medicines, medical supplies and other pharmacy items are properly arranged and kept in compliance with good pharmacy practice standards.
- To ensure proper and strict regulation of storage and distribution of controlled drugs (DDA).
- Ensure Chain of custody of keys to DDA and quarantine area is well controlled
and traceable at any given time.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with prpc â/ ties and regulations.
- Ensure that all the SOPs are in place, in use and updated.

Qualifications:
- A Diploma holder in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Minimum of Two (2) years working experience as a Pharmaceutical Technician in the pharma industry;
- Excellent planning and organization skills, Strong communication skills both verbal and written, Leadership skills, Customer service, Sales, Administration, and Interpersonal skills;
- Proven Computer skills and basic knowledge of MS Office;
