Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries (MLF) in Tanzania is executing a collaborative research project on Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions in Commercial Poultry. The project is funded by the International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS) based in Denmark and will be implemented until December 2027. Strategically, the project is divided in two thematic areas “Vaccination and Biosecurity Regimes to Enhance Fight Against Antimicrobial Resistance” and “Mitigating Spread of Antimicrobials and Resistant Microbial Pathogens and Genes Through Treatment of Manure”.

Main duties and responsibilitiesCoordinate and facilitate implementation of projects with guidance from the project coordinator Facilitate and get involved in data collection, analysis publication.Conduct research projects with guidance from the project coordinatorWrite the project reportsManage relevant documentations for ICARS projectsPrepare and Monitor time-schedules for various project activities.Organise project events (including meetings) in consultation with Project coordinator.Prepare Meeting agenda and protocols in close collaboration with the project coordinator.Monitoring of Project level time schedules (including reporting deadlines) and provision of timely reminders.Assist in the monitoring the project performance to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.Performing any other related duties as may be assigned by the project coordinator.
